Beth began her travel career more than 30 years ago, retiring as chief purser of the Mississippi Queen in 1990 and moving to Naples, FL where she worked for Delta Airlines as well as a tour company before becoming a travel agent. She eventually started her own agency (My Travel Elf) and, in 2014, gave the Disney side of the business it's very own branch - MTE Vacations.
Favorite Disney destination:
I love all the parks and DCL, but Adventures by Disney is my favorite part of the company because of the amazing way you get to experience different parts of the world.
Favorite Universal attraction:
Diagon Alley. Okay, maybe that's not a true attraction, but I find that area of the park fascinating.
Favorite Disney snack:
Caramel apples from Werther's in Epcot 's Germany pavilion. (Ask them to slice it for you!)
Visits to Disney destinations:
Aulani - 1; Disneyland - 2; Adventures by Disney - 2; Disney Cruise Line - 9; Walt Disney World - around 75, give or take a couple.
First Disney memory:
June 1972 - We drove over from Sarasota for a 24-hour stay at Walt's "new" park and stayed at the Contemporary. I was 9 at the time and was very impressed with the enormous bathrooms at the hotel. I remember doing the Jungle Cruise at night (super cool), my mom's claustrophobia kicking in on 20,000 Leagues, and my mom ordering my crying sister not to get off her horse on Cinderella's Carousel only to discover after the ride ended that it was covered in vomit courtesy of a previous rider. I was hooked for life.
