The Caring for Giants tour takes place in Disney's Animal Kingdom park several times each day. It's only an hour long and one of the least expensive tour options available in all of Walt Disney World. As mentioned previously, the tour is not expensive by Disney standards. The current price for the Caring for Giants tour is $39 per guest plus tax. You must also have a valid theme park ticket for Disney's Animal Kingdom and a park reservation if one is required due to your ticket type.
You'll have a Small Group Experience
The Caring for Giants tour departs from the Curiosity Animal Tours kiosk across from the entry to Kilimanjaro Safari. Once the tour begins, you are immediately led backstage before boarding a minibus. There are typically less than 15 guests in each tour so you will enjoy taking part in this small group experience. Your guide is also your driver and he will expertly maneuver your group through the backstage area to the elephant section while still giving an interesting description of everything you pass.
You'll Gain Insightful Knowledge
During your 60-minute experience, you'll learn valuable insights into the African elephant herd. You will learn all about these intelligent creatures, their care, and the challenges they face in the wild. You'll learn about the day-to-day care of these amazing animals and learn how Disney's conservation efforts are working to preserve their populations throughout the world.
Throughout this tour, you’ll be able to observe the elephants from approximately 80 to 100 feet away which is a much closer than you would experience normally experience in the park.
It's Family-Friendly
This experience is fun for families but guests must be four years old to participate. Children under eighteen years of age must be accompanied by a participating adult, 18 years of age or older. It is such a great way to make memories together as a family!
